Alaska is a location where I’ve always wanted to go and in 2019 I went on a photography trip with a company called Natures Lens. The trip included time photographing hump back whales, visiting Pack Creek Bear Viewing Area on Admiralty Island and a couple of trips to see glaciers at Tracy Arm Fjord. We even had opportunities to take photos of eagles. For our trip we were based in Juneau and the trips were with Adventure Bound Alaska (Tracy Arm Fjord), Lost In Alaska Adventures (Whales) and Pack Creek Bear Tours for the bears. Overall it was an enjoyable trip and we combined it with a some time in Seattle. Having a company organise the trip was helpful but it should be feasible to book your own trips if you decide to go it alone.
